    • The focus is entirely on submissions and positional control.

    • All submissions are permitted, including heel hooks, toeholds, knee bars and more for Blue Belt and up.

    • 4 min | Youth

    • 5 min | Adult

    • 10 min | Main & Co-Main*

    • Win by Submission.

    • If no submission is successful match victor is decided by referee.

    • Slams, Scissor Takedowns, Jumping Guard, flying submissions (front headlocks/guillotine are permitted)

    • Heel hooks, reaping for White belt/Youth

    • Leg Locks Youth Straight Ankle Locks are permitted.

  • If no submission is achieved, the referee will evaluate the match based on:

    • Aggression: The intensity and frequency of submission attempts, particularly those that test the opponent.

    • Positional Control: The dominance and effectiveness in controlling the opponent's position, including guard passes, mount, and back takes.

    • Effective Techniques: The overall effectiveness of the grappler's techniques in achieving dominance and seeking submissions.

  • The referee ensures the match flows smoothly, resets action when it goes out of bounds, and stays focused on the evaluation criteria.
